Sai Baba’s nephew quizzed over cash seizure

(News in Times of India Sunday Edition, 26th June 2011)

Sathya Sai Baba’s nephew R J Ratnakar was on Saturday questioned by police in connection with the seizure of Rs 35.5 lakh from the late guru’s ashram.
A police team questioned Ratnakar at his residence in Prashanti Nilayam. Police had on Wednesday issued notices to two trustees of the Sai Central Trust — Ratnakar and V Srinivasan — asking them to appear before it in connection with the cash seizure.
Meanwhile, police concluded its questioning of Venkatesh, a personal assistant of Srinivasan, a police officer said, adding that Srinivasan would be quizzed on Monday. PTI (Press Trust of India)

P.S. I have written to the Times of India that Satya Sai Baba should not be referred as Sai Baba as it is misleading.

Sai Baba is generally referred to Shirdi ke Sai Baba, a true saint and whose worldly possession was a torn kafni and a pillow of bricks and a sleeping place made of stones.

He did not own luxury cars or planes or nilayams like the ‘Imitation Babas’
